Chromebook internal mic issues and fix
First, unplug or disconnect your headphones or airpods if any is already connected.
On your Chromebook
Follow these steps below if Chromebook sound isn’t still working:
- Make sure sound isn’t muted:
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Adjust the volume using the slider.
- Change the sound input or output:
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Next to the
volume slider
, select the Right arrowÂ.
- Change where sound comes from (output) or where you speak into (input).
- Unplug audio devices (like headphones or speakers) from your Chromebook.

and resolve audio and sound issues with a power wash. Make sure the Chromebook volume is not muted and turned up before proceeding with the power wash or reach out to a technician for further support. Perform a power wash.
