First, ensure that you’re connected to a reliable and secure network, preferably a private network, home WIFI or school issued Hotspot.
On your Chromebook
Follow these steps below if Zoom camera isn’t working:
- Check to see if Chromebook is still connected to the
HotspotorWIFI. - If you’re using a school issued
Hotspot, make sure no other device(s) likeTV,PlayStation(s)is connected to it except Chromebooks. - Check for
Chrome OSupdates and install them if any. - Disconnect Chromebook from
WIFIorHotspot, shut off Chromebook, reset yourHotspot, turn on Chromebook again and connect back toHotspotorWIFI. See how to reset a Hotspot. - Ensure that Chromebook
webcamis not tampered with, damaged or scratched. - Ensure there is nothing obstructing the
webcamview point.

Make sure the Chromebook webcam is not damaged or blocked before proceeding with the power wash or reach out to a technician for further support. Perform a power wash.
