How to Securely Sign Into Salesforce Using OKTA SSO

What is OKTA SSO?

Okta Single sign-on (SSO) is a user authentication tool that enables users to securely access multiple applications and services using just one set of credentials.

There are two unique and simple methods to securely sign into Salesforce using OKTA SSO:

Method One (1):

  1. Launch your preferred web browser (e.g., Google Chrome).

  2. Go to https://hcz.okta.com/

  3. Enter your work email address, check the Remember me checkbox and click the Next button to proceed.


  4. Enter your work email password, then click the Sign In button to sign into OKTA.


  5. After successfully signing into OKTA; Under My Apps tab, use either the ‘Search your apps‘ search box to look up Salesforce.com or scroll to Salesforce.com app.


  6. Select the Salesforce.comapp to securely authenticate to Salesforce using OKTA.

Method Two (2):

  1. Launch your preferred web browser (e.g., Google Chrome).

  2. Go to https://hcz.my.salesforce.com/

  3. Enter your work email address, check the Remember me checkbox and click the Next button to proceed.


  4. Enter your work email password, then click the Sign In button to securely authenticate using OKTA SSO.
