How to setup Multifactor Authentication for your OKTA account

What is Multifactor Authentication?

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) adds a layer of protection to the sign-in process. When accessing accounts or apps, users provide additional identity verification, such as sending a Push notification or entering a code received by phone.

Stage 1 - Setting up Multifactor Authentication

  1. Choose any option of your choice to setup Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
    Note: You can setup more than one MFA for your OKTA account.


  2. Choose the Okta Verify option and select your device type.
    Select either iPhone or Android

Stage 2 - Download OKTA Verify App

  1. [For iPhone users]
    Download Okta verify from the HCZ Self Service App onto your iPhone.
    Then click the Next button to proceed


  2. [For Android users]
    Download Okta verify from the Google Play Store onto your android mobile device.
    Then click the Next button to proceed

  3. Launch the OKTA Verify app on your mobile device, click the Get started button, then the Next button, now click the Add account button.

  4. [Choose account type]
    Choose Organization as account type

  5. Click the Scan a QR code button


  6. Scan the QR-code on your computer screen to proceed


  7. Once the QR-code is scanned and verified, your account will be automatically added.
    Click the Done button on your mobile phone

For Staff without an HCZ Mobile Phone

  1. Choose the Security Question option.
    Select a secret question suitable & unique to you, and type in the answer to that question in the Answer column.
    Then click the Save button to proceed
    Note: It is advised to choose only this option if you do not have an HCZ Issued Mobile Phone.


  2. Then click the Finish button on your computer screen to complete setup

How to sign into your OKTA account

  1. Go to hcz.okta.com

  2. Enter your work email and password, then click the Sign In button


  3. Click either the Send Push button or the Or enter code button


  4. [For enter code]
    Launch the OKTA Verify app on your mobile phone and enter the 6-digit number in the Enter Code column, then click the Verify button
