First, ensure that you’re connected to a reliable and secure network, preferably a private network, home WIFI
or school issued Hotspot
.
On your Chromebook
Follow these steps below if Zoom
camera isn’t working:
- Check to see if Chromebook is still connected to the
Hotspot
orWIFI
. - If you’re using a school issued
Hotspot
, make sure no other device(s) likeTV
,PlayStation(s)
is connected to it exceptChromebook(s)
. - Check for
Chrome OS
updates and install them if any. - Disconnect Chromebook from
WIFI
orHotspot
, shut off Chromebook, reset yourHotspot
, turn on Chromebook again and connect back toHotspot
orWIFI

webcam
is not tampered with, damaged or scratched. - Ensure there is nothing obstructing the
webcam
view point.
Zoom Audio is not working on Chromebook
First, ensure that external audio devices like headphones
is unplugged or disconnected.
Follow these steps below if Zoom
Audio or mic isn’t working:
- Check to see if Chromebook is still connected to the
Hotspot
orWIFI
. - If you’re using
airpods
or aheadphone
, ensure that they are not damaged and they actually work. - Check for
Chrome OS
updates and install them if any. - Disconnect Chromebook from
WIFI
orHotspot
, shut off Chromebook, reset yourHotspot
